Boas,
Um dos pequenos problemas que tive depois de configurar o Ubuntu 7.10 no meu portátil foi a configuração do som pois o mesmo dava muito baixo. A forma de resolver este problema é muito simples, aqui ficam os passos:
1º Abrir a consola
2º Escrever: sudo pico /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base
3º Acrescentar o seguinte texto no final do ficheiro: options snd-hda-intel model=auto
4º Pressionar as teclas "Ctrl + X" e depois a tecla "Y"
5º Reiniciar o computador.
